Untitled - 27-IV-2005

Warm Spring breezes,
Sweet with lilac,
Shed blossoms from the branch.

In Summer the petal's place is taken with fruit,
Red as the soil,
That gives them life.

And you give them life.
Rising each morning to inquire of their health.
Nurturing, tending to their needs.

Maturing, what fruit they bear,
Once cared for with your gentle hand,
Now take you by it:
Sustenance for winter's harsh age.
Giving you life.
